Hi everyone, I’m an OR RN thinking about switching to a surgical technologist role, and I’m trying to get a grasp on the main variations between the CSFA and CST certification exams. I’ve looked at some comparison charts from the credentialing bodies and read a few discussion posts, but I’m still puzzled on how the content and difficulty really compare, and what kinds of career paths each certification might open up. For context, which exam tends to be more hard? Also, from a real-world standpoint, how do employers view CSFA vs CST credentials when it comes to moving up or salary potential? If anyone has real experience or insights, especially regarding how these certifications transformed your career path, it would be much appreciated. I came across some detailed info here csfa but would appreciate your views too. Thanks folks for the thorough explanations and personal experiences shared!
